This has been submitted several times. Do a search and you will get lots of info. In short, same as a wakeboard. Just hold it with one hand until the rope tension keeps it attached to your feet.

My brother-in-law lent my son and i his wakeskate this past weekend. We are hooked!!! Had no problems getting up. Basically used a slightly modified wakeboard start. All I did was lay in the water in my normal wakeboard position with the wakeskate floating free with my heels resting on top. Had the boat take off. The water pushed the board against my feet. Let legs compress to chest then stood up and away I went.

The best way, I think, is where the board is completely underneath you and you're pretty much standing on it with your feet slightly angled upwards just letting it float. It's sooo much easier to get up and you use way less energy. Feels a little sketchy at first, but it's great once you get used to it. There are other directions on that link that was posted, and on SNAP.

i got up in 2 tries...all you do is wait for tension on the board as the boat pulls you in idle and then its like a wakeboard from there basically.....it feels like you are glued to the wakeskate its cool
