I usually start carrying my little ones when they're ~6 months old. Gabe has a heart condition that will require another surgery soon, so he can't get cold, and the water is still too cold before his surgery in July, so I don't think he'll get to go this year.

But, here some pics of me taking Naomi last weekend. She's not quite 2.5, and has been riding with me for almost 2 years now. Enjoy!

I took my 5 year old daughter on the wakeboard for the first time yesterday. Kind of the same set-up, but I turned her around and made her stand on the board. After getting over her fear, she's ready to do it again. Good inspiration.

I started my kids at the same age.

Age 2 for me holding them up while riding and at 3 they stand on the board between my legs, holding on to my leading leg, with my rear leg supporting them from sliding off. They love it.

In fact my daughter started wakeboarding on her own board at 4 and by 5 she was riding regularly, deep water starts and all. I think the early exposure really helps them. Now I have to fight with them for water time.

my riding partner got his 1.5yo out on the board with him at the end of last summer, now this year at 2.5 he has to ride at least one set with his daddy or he gets pretty upset and pokes that little lip out, he wants to try and get him up by himself next year, not sure he will be strong enough but right now the kid won't leave the dang handle alone, he is the official rope puller inner guy now
