Nice to have good friends with lots of money!

anyone else have these friends? I gotta a couple of really close friends that are well off and last week my buddy was lookin to trade his four winns boat In and upgrade to a nicer wakeboard boat. told him to get a axis since that's the price range he was lookin at and just found out about 10 minutes ago that he got the deal of the year.. someone else picked up the payments on his boat and he is getting a 2007 all white xstar fully loaded to the max for only 40k!! so needless to say I am one lucky guy cuz I will have that to ride behinde and drive for the next few summers! so pumped!! idk what to do with myself right now. pics to come next week..

anyone else get this lucky?

Well, between me and my few local friends, we currently have the following boats at our disposal to ride behind just about every weekend:
2010 SANTE 230
2010 Axis A22
2008 SANTE 210
2007 Mastercraft X1
2007 Malibu VLX
1999 Mastercraft 205v

If you want to talk about wheeling and dealing, my friend Shaun was talking about getting a boat and we were able to sell his porsche 911 on ebay in 2 days to a guy who flew up from miami to pick it up. We wrote the porsche up as a trade through my friend's nautique dealership (saving taxes) on a new 2008 SANTE 210 that my friend got in on a repo deal, got Shaun the boat for 49k out the door, found a guy on craigslist the next day who traded his 1999 Suburban 2500 4x4 (454) straight up for Shaun's 1999 Jeep Wrangler. Then we sold Shaun's 2009 Aprilla Shiver on craigslist and used the equity to buy a wetsounds system for the boat.

At the end of two weeks of wheeling and dealing, Shaun ended up selling a 2004 Porsche 911 C4S, a 2009 Aprilla Shiver, trading his 1999 wrangler, buying a 2008 SANTE 210 and a wetsounds system, and trading for a 1999 2500 suburban. All in all, his monthly payments went from $870 before to $410 now and he has a new boat.

That's some damn wheeling and dealing right there.

It nice to have my buddy bring down his boat from Virginia for us to use through the school months. He didn't have one through the spring, but just picked up a 2010 A22 three days ago, so it will be available through the fall.

man chattwake that's crazy! so many nice nice boats! and that was a pretty good deal to! the xstar has jl audio right now so I told him the next purchase is the 3 some package from wetsounds with all white backs to match the boat lol but he found the xstar and the guy agreed on the price then 10 minutes later he got rid of his boat so it happened super fast haha
so now he is gunna have a all blacked out lifted 09 chevy z71 with a all white boat lol then if we have other people goin I will be following him with more people in my truck and I drive a black truck so it's gunna be one nice Oreo going down the road haha

and holdsworth ya he was gunna get a axis and just trade his boat in but he couldn't pass up the deal..

I consider myself very fortunate.

My family has a 2008 Malibu VLX
Friends at the lake have a 2006 Centurion Avalanche
and their friends have a 2006 XStar

all of us are within 15 lakehouses or so on the lake. I just wish that I could be up there more often, since its my aunts place its really only every other weekend or so..

and ya going from riding behinde a bass boat just for fun on my other friends boat and riding behinde the fourwinns some the going to a 07 xstar is gunna be real nice for a change! haha

u think it is gunna need that much weight? and im not sure but i think it already has some in there though.. not real positive, guess we will find out monday..

the guy is giving us all his wakeboards and wake surf boards and said he bought it fully loaded so not sure if fully loaded means it came with fat sacs or not..

Yes. Unless there are some fat sacs already plumbed in the boat, or he threw in some extras, you will need to order some to surf for sure. Eventually, you will want more weight for wakeboarding. To get a really nice wake out of an xstar you should add a descent amount of extra weight IMO.

I have some well off friends but they just aren't into wakeboarding. So unfortunately I don't have any friends that have a v-drive or d-drive. So sadly, I have never experienced the awesomeness.

Chattwake, alright guess il see whats in the boat monday.. he kinda doesnt really know i usually say get this and he says ok and buys it lol

and smokinheels10, ya this is my first experience with him buying a "newer" wakeboard boat, he usually just gets a new truck, car every year but him and his dad decided on a boat.. but all of the money came from a terrible accident in his mom getting killed because some idoit truck driver didnt strap down the stuff on the trailer good enough and it fell off the truck and went threw the wind shield and the real sad thing is she was only 50-100 yards from there drive way.. so its not like he is spoiled, just nothing he cud do about it for his mom...

and on another note my other friends parents are getting a million dollar lake house next year and im sure they will be upgrading to a nicer boat so its all working out from them i just so happen to be good friends with them so its real nice...

bridges, man I hate to hear that. Stuff like that is rough, there is no other way to put it. It seems really screwed up that most accidents occur w/in a mile of your own home, but it makes it so much worse when it occurs and there is nothing you can do about it. I hope they are doing all right, stuff like that can stick with you for a while..

smokinheels10, ya it happened a while ago, i guess its been 4-5 years now.. ya it was a real bad accident.. i didnt know him at the time because we went to different schools but met him after that and just became real good friends, lots of crazy times.. just one brief time. 4th of july 2 years ago. had about 1000 dollars worth of fireworks in back of my truck, set off some then a dud barely shot out of the tube and blew up causing all the fireworks to explode in the back of my truck, they were all of those huge cannon shell things to lol then we had the window down caught the inside of truck on fire a little and had to put it out with a gatorade. haha but needless to say i got a spray in bedliner couple weeks later and the burnt carpet is still there just covered with floor mat.. haha just thought id share. and o its all on video to because we were taping the fireworks.

and ya with my parents recently divorced its real nice to have good friends so i can get away from all of it..

Nice boat that you get to ride behind. I have an 06 Star and I have and extra 1200 in the back to increase the wake. We are on a shallow river so more weight in the back is better. It stands the boat up a little and puts a little lip on the top of the wake.

Those are sick. Very nice boat indeed. I don't know why but I love the liquid force edition of the Supras and Moombas. Don't even own anything that is LF..haha. I take it you will be riding behind this fairly soon, huh?

ya the moombas is basically same boat without all the features so kinda like the walmart brand of the supra liquid force edition lol

well after being denied a loan because all the banks are scared to loan right now because no one is paying back so they wont loan (even though him and his dad have a 750,000 dollar rv) they still wudnt give them the loan which we cudnt figure out why and finally a few days later they got approved so here is the boat behinde is truck..
