Hi

My 12 year old son is currently using what is probably a very old and certainly a beginners wakeboard. It is basically flat and has 2 fins at each end. Attached is a picture.

I am looking at a 2005 liquid force team 130 with 2004 liquid force sphynx bindings. Do you think he will notice a dramatic difference between his current board and this new configuration?

Thanks for looking at my post.

This pic is what he's riding now?

I moved from an older decent board to a 2006 Team/Sphynx setup and saw a VERY big difference. I guess it depends on the rider, but the bindings alone were a huge upgrade for me.

I had a board similar to that last year, and he will defiantly feel a difference in the way a more modern board controls, and pops.

My second set up was about like that, except I think my bindings were a little better. He will definitely notice a difference and in turn be more comfortable on it. I made a pretty big step after that set up, but the bindings alone were a huge difference.

anyone notice how deep that rear fin is? My first board was like that. My new board has built in fins( You carve more on your edges like a snowboard) I tolk my fins off. way way way better feel
