I have a 2000 bluewater mirage and the weight capacity says 1200lbs. I was looking to buy some fat sacs to load it up with more weight to make the wake bigger. I have friends that do this but they have newer wakeboarding boats. Im nervous to put a ton of weight in a ski boat though. How much weight can i put in my boat you think for it to still be safe? Any other tips on making the wake better? Thanks!

Some of it depends on how much weight your engine can actually deal with, and what you personally feel comfortable with. There are a lot of good threads on here about weighing an I/O boat, if you search around a little bit.
I/O's tend to like the weight in the bow, so your best bet is to experiment with that first, maybe adding a few hundred lbs at a time. Trimming the out-drive up a little bit can also help enhance the wake a little bit. _________________ wakeboards wakeboarding
I'm about to drop 1200lbs in my glascon with a 4.3. I've had more weight then that in people in the boat though and still got a good pull. I'm going with 2 350 lb sacks in the front and 1 540 lb sack in the ski locker. If there's lots of people I just wont use them. Benefits of using water over sand.
