Hello all,

I am new here from CT. I am excited to learn from you all. My first question is about a new board. I have never owned my board and have only been using a friends- it works I guess. I have wakeboarded about 10 or so times and feel confident in my skill. What does everyone think for this as a first setup? I am 6 ft and about 160lbs.

That should be good to get you going. a 138 board (if you don't plan on gaining weight) and then whatever your shoe size is for the bindings.

Cool thank you. Should I go up the next size? I mean at some point a bit of weight gain is inevitable....... of course it would only be a couple of pounds but I am sure you get my point.

Are there any other setups that are similar?

WELCOME to the forums!

A 138 would work but the common theme I have noticed with friends and some people on these forums is that they ride a slightly larger board than recommended. It is all preference, but as long as the board will keep you on top the water it will work!! Stick with the 138 unless you plan on gaining a significant amount of weight.

I have never ridden a LF, but have heard good things about them.

GOOD LUCK!
