The guy didn't give me any details but other than it's a Hyperlite 137. I'm 5'8 about 155lbs. What do you guys think?

i mean is that honestly what you want? its a older board and bindings.. those bindings are going to be hard to get in and out of.. make sure there arent any rips or tears on the bindings..
but if thats your budget then you gotta do what you gotta do. id just hate for you to buy it then 2 days later you rip the bindings.. |

I would like to spend under 200. Since this is my first board, I can deal with it used. _________________ www.kstargear.com

| I know it is sometimes hard to spend a few hundred on a new setup especially if you are a beginner... but i seriously think you would be much happier/more comfortable if you just spent about $100 more... Honestly I dont think this setup is worth anything near what he is asking for it... just my opinion |

| tcaseymcclure, i agree. cuz those bindings are gunna kill your feet and that board is 9 years old and no telling what its been through.. but i mean if you got a budget under 200 bucks not much you can do.. |

| bridges, ya I understand completely about having a budget but again I think if he springs a little bit now for a newer setup, when hes ready to buy another one he would be able to sell it... I mean like you said this board is 9 years old... Not too much longer before no one will even take a look at it. There is more benefit than one at buying a newer, and nicer setup...But its a completely different thing if he ONLY HAS $200... But I still think there are many better deals out there. BMW_TT, If anything I would look for a package with better bindings. You will be hating life in these ones in the picture |

Ok if you are on a time frame then there really isn't much you can do but if you can wait around you can find a good deal for 200 or a little more. I got my board and bindings for 216 on closeout and its an 09 Transcend with answer bindings. My point being,if you keep looking and don't have to rush it you can find a sweet deal. _________________

ya id go with that forefront. better set up in my opinion.. il get you a few liquid force links, give me a few minutes..
if money wasnt an issue?? id drop 500-600 on one then lol but no need for you to spend that on your first board..

| awesome looks good! if you need help setting up your bindings on there or want to know where there suppose to be just say on here and either i or someone else will help you out.. but for starters set your board with bindings on them(not screwed in) then just jump as high as u can then were your feet land thats a pretty good start to were to put ur bindings on at.. since your 5'8 u will prolly be have one hole left on the outside of both bindings left and that shud be good and just a little ducked out at first, then later on you can duck them some more out.. |

For the record, the board in the Original Post is a Hyperlite Vero board circa 2000~ish, I believe.
I had one as my very first board when I was in about 7th grade. It was cool for me at the time because a board was outside my affordability, but I quickly found that I had little fun riding it due to it's weight, and the fact that the fins that come on the thing were garbage. That board was basically the end of my relationship with Hyperlite. I think that thing got stolen off my boat with a pair of Hyperlite Hi-Back bindings (New at the time.), and I used it as an excuse to take a break for a few seasons from wakeboarding.
I just purchased a new Ronix board myself. My boots just showed up today. Board comes tomorrow.
Edit: Nvm. Hyperlite Fluid. The Vero and the Fluid share the same board graphic, just with a slightly different hue in the tail. Go figure. |

Cool man I bet you're going to be exponentially happier with that setup you bought instead of the one you were looking at. enjoy the new ride! _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |
