Buying new "old" model boards???

Found this board new at a great price

I'm a seminewb and was thinking of picking up this board. Just wanting any feedback on picking up "new" older boards, particularly anyone who knows anything about Jstar.

Got some people on the boat who are beginners. Hopefully this board won't be to advanced/difficult for them/me to ride??
