Dudes, I need your guys help.
I can do inverts regular, so away from the cable. Inside of the cable is hard and I've only landed a few switch invert.
My question is, should I now progress to Front2blind, and Back2blind witouth switch inverts, or should i first learn basic switch inverts, like a vulcan? I ask this in combination with my tourneys I want to do. So whats better for a run?

It doesn't hurt to have a couple of switch tricks in the bag. Definitly good for competition runs even if you can just throw a basic switch trick like a roll-revert or raley.
I'd say work on the tricks to blind and if you get bored/frustrated trying those, give switch tricks a try for a while. I always have 2 or 3 tricks I'm working on at a time so I don't think too much about one specifically and get a mental block. |

Ok thanks for your tips. My kicker skills arent special aswell, it stops with some glides, and glide 180s... Maybe I should also focus on some spins... So there is alot to learn. Hahah _________________

Medina, There's always something new, that's part of the fun. I've been working on kicker stuff lately. I mostly just ride rails so it's something new and fun. Right now I can only do big grabs, grabbed 180's, and grabbed 3's. I tend to learn a trick and just do it different ways and with different style (gotta look good! haha).
Any tips on glides? I've always wanted to learn those. |

Yeah try to get a nice variety in your tricklist. Some 'normal' inverts, some Raley-based tricks, some spins. Some TS of all of the above, and some switch of all again. _________________ FlyZone Wakeboarding Costa Rica |

Medina, When it comes to cable contest runs, you don't really have to focus heavily on switch tricks. The only switch trick that I would say would help your run would be doing a switch trick right off the dock so you can get an extra move in. Otherwise when it comes to the cable, switch and regular are not really thought of as adding a degree of difficulty to your pass because most cable riders don't really have a switch. Take a look at a guy like Marc (shuster). He is left foot forward but all of his big tricks are "switch" because they are around the corner, but the judges don't give him extra points because he does a switch double to blind vs a guy doing a regular double to blind. If you were to ask him, he probably rides stronger "switch" than regular therefore I guess he really doesn't have a switch. Jimmy Lariche is also a very good example. His biggest spins are all switch so they are basically considered regular for him. It comes into play if you do say an S-Bend to blind into a Switch S-Bend to blind. That would get you some extra points. _________________ Liquid Force

Thanks! I've trained hard for 2 days, Now I can do the switch krypt constantly, I am content. Now the next thing. What too choose, backroll blind or spinning of the kicker? _________________

My vote is spin. I'm like you, I'd rather flip, but one must also spin. _________________

I have to say that going in for a switch krypt (raley tricks in general) takes alot of time, and you need to get back on the outside for the coming curve. So I think it would be better for me to learn another switch trick, backroll based, like a roll2revert, and eventually the backmobe since I dont need to go back extremely I could be able to get in another invert on the same side...
So now trying roll2revert today, Ill post a video if i succeed _________________
