Hi i'm new to wakeboarding and i was thinking of getting these bindings but i'm not sure if i should get the size 5-8 or 8-12 i wear size 8 so would size 8 be a tight fit? or should i just get the 8-12 so it can slip off when it needs to? Would there be any difference in edging/doing tricks with loose bindings or tight bindings? Thanks for your response

In my experience you should go for the 5-8, but I'm sure this varies between companies. What kind of bindings are you looking at, and is there a way to try them on? You want to make sure your feet are not 1) hanging off the end of the foot bed, and 2) not sucked up inside the open toe. Comfort is the main thing, and you want a lot of room to tighten the laces after your foot feels snug. In other words, the loops should not pull all the way together. If you can try them on, stand flat footed and lift the balls of your foot. If the balls of your feet come off the foot bed, the bindings either are too big, or you don't have them tight enough. (except for the rare case that they just suck that bad)

Why not look at bindings with less size range instead of so universal. Look at some LF bindings size 7-8 or 8-9.
You want the bindings to fit properly as they are the link between your body and the board.
