Hey,
I want to start spinning, i can do a FS180 of the kicker, TS, and HS. Havent Tried a BS.
I want to aim the 540 for this year, so I have to do alot of training on my 360 I guess. Can you give me any pointers for a succesfull 360? _________________

| For spinning off a kicker on cable, its nice because you dont have to really worry about spinning too early like on wake. You can spin on the kicker and nothing bad happens. The hardest part is getting the handle (for me at least) With the cable being so much higher than the tower it makes handle passes a lot higher behind your back and with the small cable handles and springy rope, that doesnt help either. My biggest advice for a FS 3 is to just take a medium cut at the kicker, hit it and pull the rope super hard with both hands to your back hip, spin/pass the handle, and land. Everything is pretty much the same as a boat FS 3, just pull the rope harder. Thats all I got |

Medina, When you pull the handle, try to make it a smooth motion to the small of your back. I sometimes tend to yank the handle too hard towards me and not around and get a lot of slack making landings kind of tough. the hardest part for me is just keeping my hips underneath me, so just do your best to keep your handle in at your hips and you should be ok. Just don't let it get away from ya!
As LFADAM said, take a nice medium approach in to the ramp. Picture yourself going from the bottom corner of the kicker closest to the cable, out to the opposite top corner (does that make sense?). This will give you proper tension, not too much, not too little.
One of my favorite tricks to do is grabbed 3's off of kickers. Once you get the 360 dialed in, a FS 5 is pretty easy. |

Yeah i want that 3, then a 540 is not that hard, that extra fs180 is no problem i guess. Thanks for your tips, i am a bit scared. Should i twist my head to the side i am rotating? So FS (To the right) ect? And should i pull my legs in so i am in a crouched position in the air? _________________

| Medina, definitely look in the direction you are spinning, crouching your legs is optional |

Ok thanks, The kicker is a bit far away out of the cable, but what is ideal for cutting. Should i take a pretty hard cut and then flatten oud, so i get less line tension? _________________

| So I'm riding cable for the first time this coming week. If I've got grabbed 3's & 5's off the wake how hard will that be to transfer to the cable? I figure I'll be doing more rail/kicker stuff than trying to figure out air tricks. |

Medina, you dont need to cut that hard. medium cut is fine and you dont really need to flatten out either, although you can.
Stephan, I was in the same boat as you and landed a FS 3 off the cheese wedge and big white at o dub first day and got 5s the 2nd or 3rd time. Its pretty easy, as I said the only hard part for me was the handle passes are tougher. |

So its easier then behind a boat, because of the tension i guess? _________________

I am stoked, I landed both BS, and FS 360!!! Super Easy!!! The hardest part is the balance once you release the kicker. Tried 540 but I just couldnt spin faster and kept landing 360s...
Maybe I should pull my legs more in. _________________

Medina, the closer the handle is to your body when you start the less work you'll have to do to pass the handle. Keep it close, and it's easier to keep rotating to 5 _________________
