A video I put together of Brian Sasser, a Texas rider that has done so much for the sport of wakeboarding in Texas for the past 15-20 years and a new ripper, Clay Stewart who has been riding out at TXMC for a few years now and has gotten better and better. Doesnt look like Clay is going to stop progressing anytime soon.

It's good to see Sasser still ripping. Way back in summer of 2000 I went to an amateur comp at the camp he had just outside of Dallas. It was probably the most fun I've had at any grassroots event. Each rider got to take two practice runs before they rode. I've never been to any other comp that has allowed you to do that. It was cool to get the jitters out and just plain fun to get to ride more than just two passes and you're done (if you're lucky).
Furthermore, it was inspiring to see Sasser ride. I vividly remember him throwing down a Whirly 5, slaying a "Byerly style" rail, and stomping a ts/fs/oa 720 off the wake. At the time, those tricks were very cutting edge and groundbreaking and you'd only see the top pros in the vids, in the mags, and on TV throwing that sh*t down. It was crazy to see a "local" rider who gets virtually no play in the mags ride at such a high level.
Sasser always seemed like a class act to me. I've seen him at other local events and he was always encouraging to everyone and upbeat. He's a sick rider and it's awesome that he's still making his mark and having fun. Let's see some boat riding from that mofo! _________________ "Dumb dumb Cobe. Almost got in a fight. Sasser is an awesome guy! He gets no attention and I don't understand why. I'm lucky enough to have him as my boat salesman at TXMC since 2007. He's selling me a 2010 when my '06 X-Star sales. He comes out to the lake I ride (Bridgeport) all the time so I get to watch him pretty often.
He's always got the best attitude and his prego GF is getting along great with my prego GF right now, so that's a load off me as well, haha.
Cheers,
