xtremesportzplayer, Definitely lifejacket, Make sure it's a Coast Guard Approved (type III) vest especially since your a beginner. The unapproved vests out there don't provide the right flotation in case you were knocked out in a fall and some don't even float you at all.

I know you said you have a tow-rope, make sure it is non-stretch wakeboard line. Lines you can buy for towables like tubes, etc. have some stretch to them and will make wakeboarding a lot more difficult. (I'm assuming you got a handle with your rope as well?)

Shorts of some sort are also good.

Beyond that sounds like you're good to go.

+1

If your rope isnt spectra or dneema I wouldn't worry about it that much though. Eventually you could pick one up but I rode for years without it and I don't think it hindered me that much. Now if you were riding a ski line or tube line designed to stretch, thats a no-no.

I always keep spare binding hardware in the glove box, but haven't needed it so far. I also keep a screw driver handy to check my bindings in case they come loose. Haven't had a problem with that since I put blue loc-tite on the screws.
