|
Project winch park: rail # 2. We have been dreaming up some crazy rails the past couple of weeks.... It wasn't until the other day, that we came across a company called Railwerx, that is completely down with helping us make our dreams a reality with our concept rails. Thanks to Railwerx's engineer John Sanchez and some local riders, we have come up with our newest concept... A kicker that will boost you over a 15ft landgap onto a 40ft wall ride. This is stage one of the build... The kicker. It is 8ft wide and 10ft long, plenty big enough to boost you to where you need to land. Check back with us as we will be adding more pics and vids of this new rail.

The kicker is almost complete. I believe Railwerx is putting on the top deck in the next couple of days. Should have some complete pics soon.

| Did I read this right? You are jumping off the ramp, over a 15foot land gap, and landing on a 40ft long wall? I don't know much about sliders and all so just wanted to make sure I understood. Can't tell much from the drawing above.

|

To Answer the question about the set up. Yes we are building a kicker with a 15ft land gap onto a 40ft long 5ft wide wall ride. The gap b/t the 2 obstacles isn't set in stone yet. All kind of depends on just how far we can actually transfer. 15ft is the min, I would like it to be b/t 15 and 20. The wall ride will prob be around 6 to 8ft high. We will be adding some more pics to show the progress of the wall ride and of course have the finished product shown. We will also be filming the entire building process as well as the first attempt at hitting it. Hopefully all will go well.

Yeah I wish I had the skills to clear 15 foot chunk of land to slide a wall grind, but since I don't I will just wait until the videos of people eating it once it gets setup are posted!

Thought I'd post a couple updated pictures of the wall-ride. Shown here is one of five of the 8 ft wall-ride sections. Going to need a strong press for that 30 degree slope... As if the jump wasn't scary enough...
