Went finless and rode a LF Press today for the first time and it was a freaking blast.
I had always been a little skeptical of it being too sketchy but once I got my balanced centered and edge in control it so cool. I don't think I'd ride one full time but every once in a while I'd be game. Plus, it made learning 3's a heck of a lot easier.
If you've ever been unsure of taking your fins off, I highly recommend it.

When you have a Slingshot board there isnt any change of boarding without fins. I like my 4x 0.5'' fins!

Medina, oh, there's a difference without the fins, it's super hard! But with the fins in, it feels like a finless board of another design. Laughing

dalderman, what size fins were you using before? That is a pretty hard board to ride behind the boat without any fins and really isn't designed for it. Like Medina said, he is rocking .5" fins which are tiny but definitely would make all of the difference in the world when it comes to the ride of the board. If you are riding it on the cable, then it definitely makes more sense that you enjoyed the finless riding but riding a board without any bottom contours on the wake is probably going to limit your riding big time.
