My 2009 cells just arrived in the mail and I went to mount them on my board, but the screws are too long for the inserts. The screws are the toggle thumb screws which I like but they seem to long. I used one of my old screws and they hold the bindings firmly to the board. However, I like the toggle screws much better.

My questions is this: Is there a shorter version of the toggle thumb screw available?

I found this one on boardstop:

http://www.boardstop.com/product_info.php?products_id=4073&ref=35

Does anyone know if these are the same size as the ones that come with the bindings?

Any input will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

you must have a really shallow board if they are to short. my 09 cells bolts are just about the perfect length for my ss recoil. pics are in the 2010 setup thread.

Hack saw, not the most eloquent solution but it works if you don't have access to a grinder... Had the same issue mounting bindings onto an old LF trip and this worked out for me. If you have a nut that fits the bolt you might want to thread it through that first in case the cut leaves the threads uneven at the end, wouldn't want to strip or damage your boards mounts. To me this is a better solution than spending an unnecessary $20.
