Well i'm a little on the bigger side (normal weight, butmore like skinny-fat)
anyways, I've had a trampoline for a while now and was hoping to use it to lose weight and practice wakebaording, (i used to run every day but it's just so boring, ya know?) anyways, i'm 15 and was hoping you guys could give me some drills to improve my wakeboarding(i havea rope and a trampboard) or just to help me stay in shape during the offseason.
thanks
EDIT: I already practice tricks on my trampoline but was hoping for something that would allow me to ride longer(3-4 times a day ends up killing your legs), or maybe help with balance or something. |

When i was not gibbled I went to a local gymnastics club and got involved with one of their athletes strength training classes. Let me tell you - if there are Russian coaches you will be put to the test!
Tumble tramps, vertical jump training, quads, hamstrings, practicing lateral control will help in all sorts of ways.
While on the tramp practice getting air awareness, know where you are in the air, and try spotting your landings earlier. All of that will help. _________________ I wakebaord, wakeskate,do anythign stupid, hurt others and have fun doign it. |

The best activity that you can do to help you lose weight and also to help you wakeboard longer and multiple times per day is interval training. Here is a link to my blog where I put up a post on an overview of interval training.

I am working on putting up more info on the blog about working out and improving your wakeboarding.
Be sure to let me know if you have any questions or would like to me cover a specific topic on the blog.

skateboarding will help improve your balance in the off season. Gym membership will keep you in shape if you put in the time. _________________ Random Acts Of Dumbness Will Always Be Rewarded. |

| I have tried training on a trampoline in the off season, but I don't really know how to go about it? Are there certain drills or tricks that are beneficial to practice? I was working on handle passes for my 360, and felt confident. Then when I got behind a boat I found that the pull of the boat totally threw me off and it seemed as though the tramp did nothing? Am I doing something wrong? |

| are you pulling the handle to you hip to start your spins on the trampoline or just using your body to spin? and a trampoline doesn't help teach you how to edge into the wake but it helps get a spin axis and get your handle passes consistent. |

| On my trampoline I practice front tucks, back tucks, back layouts. Then I practice with a foam wakeboard 180s, grabs and 360's. |
