bridges, if you dont need to use those adapters to get the stance you want, I wouldn't use them. They're very bad for the board, they act like a bottle opener if you put a lot of strain on the and I've seen a lot of boards crack directly beneath them. Unless you're going all the way out, I'd leave those off.

Oh and btw how do those baseless bindings feel on that board? I'd think it'd be kinda weird being that the top sheet isn't flat

| well the reason I have the adapters is because there is a bad insert on my back foot (right foot) and it's the first one on my inside, so I have to use it, if I didn't have to I'd take em off.. I think I might go one narrower maybe just so I can take them off... and it feels fine to me.. don't really notice any difference, the boots are really comfortable and just feels normal in my opinion.. anything else you would like to hate on my board?? haha

I'm trying out the 09 Shane this year. If I like it better than the 08 Lyman I'll keep using it, otherwise I'll swap back and either sell the Shane or just keep it around for an extra.
I was a little sad though, I have those bindings as narrow as they can go and the stance is a good 3 inches wider than my previous stance on the lyman (the lyman wasn't even set as narrow as possible, either) So I was sad the Shane board had fewer stance options (only 3 "inner" bolt pegs instead of the 4 pictured on the lyman).
Bindings are CT Watsons and I'd give them a 50/50. I like the footbed and the entry / exit is real slick, but I guess I just feel like the bindings come too high or are a little stiff (either way you want to look at it) for my taste. I think I'm still lamenting the loss of my Ultras which were low rise super flexy. If only they made a closed toe version of the ultras..

I mean seriously how can this be the narrowest stance? That looks pretty darn wide to me.. Am I crazy?

well it kind of depends how wide your shoulders are and what your comfortable stance is, right? I'm not saying I want my bindings 2 inches apart.. My problem is that I'm a very short for how heavy I am. I'm not some fatty, I just have a lot of muscle so by guideline I need to get the bigger boards.
The bigger the board you get the wider the narrowest stance gets. I was just making an observation that I found it strange that the 08 lyman had one narrower set of binding holes than the 09 shane (I'm talking it literally had an additional bolt hole on the inside.
Additionally the stiffer boot of the bindings really dig against my shins if I don't have a narrower stance. When I rode the more flexible bindings I could get away with a wider stance.
As far as hard on the knees, narrowing your stance isn't going to hurt you as long as you adjust the angle you duck out your bindings. The narrower stance you have, the less ducked out you should be so your knees track properly. As long as your knees are allowed to track naturally you aren't straining them.

ya I was just curious on why you wanted them narrower.. what's the size on the 08 Lyman and 09 shane? or is there any at all. cuz if they are different then that might be why or it cud be simply the fact that Lyman wanted his board that way and made the holes were u cudnt go narrower...
I had knee surgery 2 years ago and my stance is at shoulder length apart I wud like to go out one more setting but I have a bad insert so I can't but no big deal.. I'm at 12 on the inside and 21 on the outside (for being ducked out) not sure how much strain I will put on my knee but I think I shud be fine with those numbers as far as my boots being ducked out well atleast I hope..

| ryan351w, they do! haven't yet translated it yet tho. I printed out a braille alphabet before I got them but completely spaced translating it. I'll do it this weekend and post if people are interested? Or would that ruin it for people looking to buy? haha

First ever CWB for me. I came up through wakeboarding back when the Connelly T2 was the big thing on the market and just could never convince myself to pick one up. I still remember that old ad from the magazines of Parks and I think Hunter Brown(?) on a Connelly Dually.
2010 CT Shanes/2009 CWB Marius 140 platinum.
I rode a 136 last year, and before that always rode 132-134. Hoping this new fandangled trend of riding longer boards works out for me.
