does anybody wakeboard behind a moomba outback, I'm trying to buy a 2000 moomba outback, just for wakeboarding, but i'm wondering if for the price I can get something with a good wake, this boat goes for about 17000. any ideas or comments on this type of boat wake? _________________ No seriously, I'm going to try that trick next. |

| I have an 02 Outback LS with about 1700lb ballast. It throws a nice wake! No complaints here! |

I just got a 03' outback ls, has dual ballasts, one in rear and one in center. yesterday i was out with 9 people and the ballasts half full and it was throwing some 2-3' wakes behind the boat. it was incredible....

| Moomba changed their hulls in 2001. The 2000 hull will be harder to get a real good wakeboarding wake. You can weight it pretty heavily and get a decent wake out of it though. You would probably have to have at least 1500 lbs in it though. |

hey i had a 1999 and a 2000 mobius, which has the same hull as your outback. To weight it, i used a 500lbs fat sac (the big ones) on each side of the motorbox. This is a decent intermediate wake. If you don't have a bunch of friends, throw another 500lber in the locker (if you have one) or just in the back. You may want to check out Jon's rendition to his mobius for ideas on how to make sure the boat supports the extra weight in the back.

| Moomba did change the hull in 2001 on the Outback, making the Outback LS the old Outback/Mobius continued as the Outback (no LS) they are different boats. I have a non LS 2001 Outback, we run about 1200-1500 lbs in it and the wake is a nice shape and size. Nothing like a super air, but neither are the payments. |
