I am looking at getting a Inboard Vdrive boat. All the boats I see just have a swim platform on the back. Do they make a ladder to mount to the swim platform. Reason I ask is my grandparents and parent some time go out with me on the boat. Was just wondering if they made a ladder to attach to it so they could get in and out the water. If anyone has pics I would appreciate it.
I know some about swim platform ladders. My current boat has one. But can you mount these to fiberglass and teak swim platforms. I haven't seen a boat yet with one.
Just upgrade your rear ballast so that when they are filled the platform is underwater. Then people can just roll up onto it like a beached whale, or maybe more like a walrus if you like that style better.
That doesn't look too bad. But man it looks like it twists the platform alittle when that guy steps up on the ladder. Think it would be better if it came off the back instead of the side.
I just kinda wondered how it would do for surfing....Thats alot of drag and would the ladder try to come out...I didnt see it twist the platform, looks like it just had weight put on it and it went down a little bit... _________________ How much work would a network work if a network could network?
Maybe that is why they put it sticking out the side like that. Maybe it didn't twist but the platform just bent down. Maybe just from the weight. Guess we will see as time goes on.
I was behind a xstar at the Mastercraft factory that had a ladder mounted on the teak plateform. I would guess it is a option now from Mastercraft since they had one on a factory demo boat.
