09 RONIX IBEX VS. 09 HYPERLITE SUB VI

friendly competiton between me and a buddy of mine.. i have the sub vi he has the ibex just seeing what yall thot was the best board out of those..

and maybe why which one you think is better?

You and your friend are both purrrrty dumb. A board is not better than another, it's all about riding style and the preferences of a rider of board characteristics. For me, however, I like the Ibex, but never rode the Sub VI.

how are we dumb? its a question of which one do you think is better.. and yes a board can be better than another. a sub 6 is better than a 2004 hyperlite board.. so before you start saying people are dumb you might want to think about what you say because u just make yourself sound dumb..

bridges, ok, well you're gonna get some people to say Ibex, some to say Sub VI. I said it's about preference. I don't like the Ronix One but love the Ibex, does that make it a better board? No, it doesn't. Someone else may say they think the One is a better board. Good call. If you're asking Quality, both are solid brands that make awesome boards, so it's really a toss up in that respect. Seeing as how you have a friendly competition to see which is better, you obviously both think one is better than the other, sooo I don't really understand what you're trying to get at... I didn't want to come off like an ass or anything saying that, it's just a question that isn't really worth asking because you're going to get people on both sides of the spectrum.

its just a freaking poll to see which board people like better or that they think is better. just like every other poll in the world just seeing what others thought about the boards.. dang man.. just something like hey i like the ibex better because i feel like it has more pop than the sub VI or hey i like the sub VI better because i feel like its easier to ride and has more pop.. just something like that, its not just people that have these boards that will look at this it may even help someone out on deciding on which board to choose from by other people putting input on which one of these boards they think is better or they like or what they like about them.. thats what a poll is all about getting people to say i like this board or i like that board and why they like it.. just helpfull info for people wanting to know more about these boards and a friendly poll between me and a friend..

see thats all there is to it.. this is a forum so people talk about boards, boats and other stuff other people look at it then it might help them out to.. its all just good fun stuff..

I thought you just wanted to straight up find out which is better...I was confused so that's why I said all that.

They changed the 2010 Ibex a lot compared to the 09 model. I had the '09 PBV2 and that thing was crazzzzy. Pop was a crazy (controllable) kick and it did everything I wanted to. Landed pretty soft in the flats and was really fast on the water and on edge. the 2010 is extremely mellowed out and is wider from tip to tail. With the added surface area, you still get a lot of pop but not as much of a kick as the PBV2, which I don't mind at all. Still lands smooth in the flats and still very fast on the water. Sintered base it really nice on rails and is a very good sliding surface.

never rode the Sub VI though...

well I mean I wanted to know which one other people thought was better in there opinion and why.. and my buddy got the 09 ibex and I have the 09 sub not the 10 ibex.. and I got my sub 6 brand new for 235 instead of 5 or 600 bucks..

its cool I just pissed for u calling us dumb when don't have a clue who we are.. it's cool tho.

Just one of those things where it's supposed to be taken extremely light but e-read is different than what I'm thinkin Wink

09 Ibex is pretty good although I never rode the regular Ibex for my size (used to the PBV2 144, only rode a regular 139) so it was really awkward, but still functional for me.

ya the ibex has alot of pop but so does the sub 6 idk there both pretty nuts but I still gotta go with my sub 6 lol I love it. it looks awesome with the white and black on top and then having my 09 ronix reliks on there makes it even better.. u shud ride a sub a few times to see how u like it. it takes a few rides to get used to it cuz it's so light but it's awesome.
