I am tryin to find a wakeboard boat. I'm wanting something newer then a 2000 Vdrive around 21' for around 20,000. I am able to find the boats but some of them are name brands that I don't kow alot about. I have heard of mastercraft and some others but not alot. I want a boat that if taken care of is built well enough to last me a long time.

Like how well are these name brand boats?

Centurion boats
Correct Craft
Supra
Moomba
Malibu
Tige

In the 1998-2002 region I would limit myself to either
Mastercraft 205V,
Nautique Supersport or
Sanger V210.
JMO.

From what I am seeing tho I can pick up a newer Moomba, Malibu, or Centurion. I have found 2008 Centurions with factory warranty. Have also seen Tige, Moomba, and Correct Craft boats around the price I looking. Are they not built as well?

Can't seem to be able to find a Mastercraft or other names I have heard of for around 20,000 that is around a 2000 or newer.

I'm also located in Terre Haute, In which doesn't help me out any with trying to find a used boat around my area.

No comments on a Moomba, Malibu, Tige, Correct Craft or Centurion?

I have seen a few things that say that Centurion doesn't valid their warranty. Just didn't know if it was just one or two people or if it was a big issue or not.

Correct Craft makes a great boat. So does Malibu and Mastercraft. I have not owned a Moomba, Tige or Centurion, so I'm not going to comment on those brands. I have owned a Mastercraft Prostar and Xstar, a Malibu VLX, and two Nautique 230's. I have liked things about all of those boats.

I have enjoyed a few years of trouble free use out of my 230's.

I had read somewhere that Moomba's had fiberglass stringers and floors in them. Is that true for most the companys now a days? Also, when i look up Correct Craft it brings up Nautique website. I know they are built by Correct Craft but is there a difference between a Nautique and a Correct Craft. Some of the boats I am finding are Correct Crafts.

I found a Tige with the TAPs system on the back. I think that is pretty cool feature. Then I read Nautique has a system but couldn't see how it worked really.

I figured they were just didn't know for sure. Didn't know if they were liek Sabre and John Deere. John Deere makes Sabre but Sabre is more of a knock off.

Nobody builds a BAD boat. Look at the boats carefully If it looks like its been babied it probubly has. Most high end boat owners are pretty anal about their boat.
Try to find a cream puff with low hours and dont worry about the brand. The boats you are looking at are already 10 years old you will see how they hold up. I would rather get a clean Moomba than a beat up Mastercraft.

All the TAPS system on a Tige is a wake/trim plate. Most boats have these nowadays... I know that Skiers Choice boats have the wake plate and many mastercrafts.... Some mastercrafts have one plate on each side and use it to adjust for surfing. As far as the stringers go.... all boats have the stringers that are fiberglass.... Mastercraft takes it one step further however and uses a mold that is the length of the boat that replaces the stringers.... It is much more durable and strong this way.... Mastercraft probably makes the highest quality boat these days.... But they make you pay for that quality as well.... And even so all other options are still great quality..... just usually not quite as well put together as a mastercraft.
