What is the lightest set-up a 140 lb rider can have. Unless it's a big difference, I would like a different board than the slingshot everyone has.

Try having a look at some of the 2010 Ronix set-ups. Their bindings are now super light as they've introduced a plateless system which reduces it by about a 3rd. Plus many of their boards have a lighter, lower profile.
