no cga vest will feel like a comp vest. that's the tradeoff you make. the best one IMO is the hyperlite side entry, It's cut just right and has some pretty good flex segments on the front.

I think I'm going to go with the jet pilot a-10 vest it's non cga but it says it will still keep me afloat.. if I just go pure non cga that doesn't float I think I'm going to get a hyperlite catalyst.. I wanted to get a cga but that's light but there just to bulky and I hate that. so it's either going to be the jet pilot or hyperlite catalyst...

I got a jet pilot a-10 last year, it will float you somewhat.I weigh 230lbs and I have to paddle a little to stay afloat in it even with my board strapped on.I decided that I want something that will keep me afloat in the event I'm knocked out, pass out,or break an arm lol.I ordered a liquid force manifesto cga vest to try out for this year.

I'll sell you the XL red a-10 I have.It wound up a little on the small size for me as I'm 6'7" 230lbs lol.I dont want it in my boat.I dont mind wearing a non cga vest if its my choice, but I'd hate for one of my buds to put it on and something happen to them.Lookin cool and a little more flexibility isnt worth dying for IMO.

Disclaimer- I'm not a sissy LOL..

I cant do any tricks LOL..I put on my first wakeboard last May and got hooked.I can ski like a mutha though LOL..I got HS w2w,almost toe-side w2w lol, tail grab, lip slide, powerslide, surface 180's,dock start, and had just gotten to where I could ride swtch confidently before it got too cold to ride.I'm gonna give it heck this year and work on some better tricks if I dont break my neck in the process.Been watchin detention 2012 alot and the book, cant wait to see if I can put what I got from the vids to any use!

The a-10 XL is small for an XL..I'll look again but I think it goes up to a 44" chest.I looked pretty ghey tryin to wear it lol.Didnt even come down to my belly button.I have a pic of me in it but wont post it for fear it would wind up on the wrong website Laughing .It fit everyone else that tried it ok,about your size.

try the Helium FLAK Celtic vest, it's CGA but it's as low profile as most NCGA. i use the NCGA LAK Assassin myself but i only mostly ride on cable.
