Ok so I did a search and only thing I got back was the free 3 month pass that they hand out on here every so often.
So for the people that won it or are members how do you like it?
I looked through the site and it seemed pretty sweet. Uploading your own vids and get critiqued by the instructors is cool.
But I have already bought the Book, so I was wondering if it was still worth the fee for the other content?
Thanks for any insight.

I think it is worth it. Kyle can explain exactly what you are doing wrong. Also, the tutorials are a lot better IMO than the book. Try it out it is only $10 for one month. _________________ There'll be two dates on your tombstone/ And all your friends will read 'em/ But all that's gonna matter is that little dash between 'em... |

| I'm very biased, as a friend of Kyle's and someone who has helped him out with some of it. I can tell you that Kyle has put a lot of time into the website, and does every day. You get access to the brain of the best instructor in wakeboarding for a pretty cheap price. And it keeps growing constantly. Good stuff. |

I am completely sold on it man, if you are truley interested in progressing, 9 bux a month is way worth it.. Lots of info on that site, plus you have access to "the book".. Plus having Kyle diagnose what doing wrong is pretty awesome.. I cant wait to try some stuff on the water and get him to critique it.. But as for right now, hes been pretty spot on on even the tramp stuff! _________________ www.blackwaterrydas.com |

Oh yeah I signed up!!! Already really impressed!!!!!
vette74, the tutorials are much better on the site. Very informative. Even just watching the "how to hold the handle" was interesting!
toothpick, You can tell he has put a lot of effort into the site! So much content!
flyhigh, I cannot wait to put up a vid of myself as well! _________________ Whenever I see an $80,000 Wakesetter pulling a tuber, I die a little inside. |

The guys at Learnwake created one of the best wakeboard teaching dvds on the market. They have done a great job with the site. I would recommend it. _________________ Wakeskating

I don't think I could ever cancel my subscription now. I'd feel bad not supporting it even after only 1 day of membership! _________________ Whenever I see an $80,000 Wakesetter pulling a tuber, I die a little inside. |

| Also, something that is really cool is that with membership you get online access to all 5 discs of The Book. That plus all the new stuff is pretty sweet. |

I just setup Google Alerts, so I am notified when anyone mentions LearnWake. This was the first alert that came in, and I am really excited. It means a lot to Kyle and I that everyone digs the site. The support so far has been great, and I'm anxious to share with everyone all of the new stuff we have in store this year.
April 1 is our 2 year anniversary, and we'll be releasing LearnWake 2.0 on that date. It will be a complete overhaul of the current site.
After that, we'll be finally releasing our much-anticipated mobile version of the website (for smartphones).
Finally, before the end of Summer we would also like to create/release a couple different web apps, mobile apps, and maybe even a Facebook app. We're looking to target as many platforms as possible with the mobile apps, but obviously priority is given to iPhone, since our stats show that it is the most popular mobile device visiting our site right now.
Once again, thanks for all of the kind words, and this is going to be a huge year for LearnWake. |

Nice to see you on the site Mike..
We gave out a few of the 3 month cards last season and I think those went over really well. _________________ Wakeskating

ive been thinking about signing up this summer.
do you post your vids from the weekend, and they analize the vids and give you pointers to try. is that how it works?
or is it just pre done text how to articles and premade instructional vids?
i do like the break down steped learning methods from the sample vids. _________________

STANG KILLA SS, Both, they have a list of tricks/ instructional videos and how to progress toward each goal for instance a BS180.
1. Ride cuffed switch and regular and shows you how to do it.
2. Ollie BS 180 in flats
3a. Ollie BS 180 in a whip
3. Inside out BS 180
4. Outside in BS 180
5. W2W BS180
This is in a video.
You can also video yourself with a trick you are having trouble with and they have a new thing where he edits your video and you watch it again with commentary and the John Madden pointer. It also only takes a day or two for them to post the new video so you can try it again soon. _________________ There'll be two dates on your tombstone/ And all your friends will read 'em/ But all that's gonna matter is that little dash between 'em... |

and thats included in the $10 a month? if so i would be VERY interested.
even if it was just text from an instructor watching my vid. telling me what im doing wrong specifically.
if not i have plenty of instructional vids. _________________

Yup. The new analyzation thing is really cool, and people seem to love it. It is a lot of work on our end though, so I'm not sure where this will all lead to in the future. Obviously at some point we'll need to start hiring some more coaches, etc as the member-base gets higher.
Along with the new website, we'll be creating a bunch of marketing media showing off all of these cool new features. Currently, we don't have anything really showing off these new features to non-members. Also, building marketing media based on the current website would just be spinning our wheels, since it will all be redone in under a month. |

my season starts in a week. i think ill be signing up next month once im back in the groove.
from a consumer stand point the voice over and broken down movies sounds really cool, but it also sounds extremely time consuming. simply having a coach type with text what im doing wrong would be more than enough for me. especially for the $10 price.
looking forward to it. my goals are tantrum and 360 this year. and some BS 180s. _________________

STANG KILLA SS, Sign up now! My season doesn't start for another 3-4 months and its been WELL worth the 10 bucks. The instructional vids that are on there are so well done. Including off season work that you can do now to get into the groove. The broken down movie part is priceless man. You post any vid, tramp work, behind the boat whatever and Kyle or Mike show you with a little yellow dot what your doing wrong, or right. The typical 3-4min riding video takes about 8min after they break it down, trust me its MUCH better than just text help. I'd almost say its better than having an instructor in the boat because you can see what your doing wrong and visualize it when your back out riding. As opposed to just being told and not seeing what your doing. _________________ Whenever I see an $80,000 Wakesetter pulling a tuber, I die a little inside. |

| I joined the end of last summer after only wake boarding about 4-5 times. the videos and drills that are worth the money alone but to have one of the best wake board teachers (Kyle Schmidt )critique your videos is invaluable. It also teaches you how to progress with out getting hurt. They give you step by step instructions for each trick and break it down to where you learn the pieces to the trick and then how to put it all together. This in my opinion is the best way. |

I joined last year for 3 months, and it was definitely an incredible value. Kyle helped me tremendously by watching a vid I posted up and then subsequently calling me a heelside hero and to try and expand on my tricks. The pointers to do so were something I couldnt learn from a non-interactive dvd or web video.
Im joining again in April when I hit the water again an after I "warm up" for the season and am ready to go to the next level. _________________ One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them. One ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them. |
