I want to buy a wakeboard boat. I've been looking at moomba lsv and they look pretty tight and for a reasonable price. THen i saw a mastercraft x at a good price also. I have also been researching the new brand axis and what to know what you guys think.

the best boat is one that is affordable, and suites what you want to do. if your not serious about boarding (ie every day or 2) than i think that any newer wakeboard boat will work just fine for you as long as it was taken care of. _________________ trying to find a $5-7K usable saltare if anyone knows of one. |

Axis makes a damn nice bang for the buck boat. It just comes down to what you want to spend. If your budget is around 40-50k then you can't go wrong with an axis a22. But if you can spend 60-70k you should test drive an xstar, nautique 210, malibu vlx, and an a22 and see which one fills your needs and suits your styling tastes.

how do you like you lsv, does it throw a pretty good wake with the gravity 3 ballast and wakeplate, how does the axis compare? Do you have a picture or video of your wake.

i LOVE it. ive yet to ride a axis.
i think the wake is pretty nice.
heres a vid with no ballast and 21.7 mph and the plate only 1/4 of the way up. basically the worst of the worst.

we rarely ride with more than the center ski locker 200 filled, but once loaded her down with 1600 lbs and it got pretty insane.
starting our 3rd year this summer and plan to start loading her down more.
ill try to find some wake pics. _________________

I highly recommend you actually ride behind a boat before you make a buying decision. Not all wakes (size and shape) are the same and until you actually hit it, you won't have any idea what it's like to ride behind.
