well I've only landed one 180 w2w but that was during the summer and the next season is approaching closely and i was visualizing how i want to land.
I go up heelside(regular stance) and turn the board and as i come down, i want to be edging on my toeside(switch) while leaning on the rope... correct? |

big part of this trick is to keep your eyes up and on the shore your headed towards.
keeps you on axis.
and dont try to throw it too early, wait till your cleared of the take off wake. _________________

| And practice your swich riding and landings. Practice practice and practice your swich, and you'll land them all. |

Its just a matter of popping your w2w jump.. then switching the handle to your rear hip. This will un-wind you in a FS 180. you can let go of one hand to balance or grab but its not totaly necesarry. Waiting until your at the peak of your w2w jump will keep on on axis. Then just a slight handle movement should start your feet unwinding to your new lead foot.
That and a bunch of switch riding practice and you'll be landing them no problem. I learned switch w2w FS 1's before i learnt them regular. It's all about what you feel most comfortable with. |

Alot of the people I have coached seem to have one hell of a time getting over their toes. I get them to try this:
* Take a clean w2w cut in
* Pop cleanly and wait until they are half way over the middle of the wake before letting go with their front hand.
* Then bringing the rear hand to their ass pocket of their boardshorts while keeping an eye on the shoreline.
Usually the easiest way to think about putting the handle to your ass is by "rolling the handle to it."
Good luck _________________ I wakebaord,wakeskate,do anythign stupid, hurt others and have fun doign it. |

Biggest tip for me was dont be scared to really hit it. If you are complacent and go easy, you wont make it. So pop off that wake, wait dont go immediately, pull that handle to your hip, and RIDE AWAY! Dont try to cut back too soon and youll land it in no time!
You got it man |
