Skywalker022, nope just set it up on my window and let er' fly.
It takes pictures at predetermined intervals....set by the user. As fast as one per 5 sec. or as slow as 24hrs. then it renders it to a video. AMAZING APP!

no its 2.99 std app store app. "iTimeLapse" Pro.

that gorilla app is pretty good for other stuff, 3 shot burst and timer but the time lapse on that one is weak to say the least in comparison to the this one.

It even comes with a couple sound tracks you can overdub with.

I just found an app for my eris. Thanks for the idea.

I think maybe tonight I will clean up the playroom then set it up and watch the destruction take place. Now I wish my phone had a place to mount it to a tripod. I will have to rig something up.

I found that using a big beach towel works good. I was able to hold my phone in any position even off the dash like in the truck fix one.

liquidfool, That is interesting....

Craig-R, this app is probably my favorite app i have on my phone out of the 5 pages worth. Post your work up after your done! I always like to get new ideas. I did one of me making pancakes, but the camera/phone kept moving so it didn't really turn out well.

ryan351w, what is the longest time you have taken a time lapse without your phone on a charger? A friend of mine wants to use this to do a time lapse of him sitting in a bar from 8pm to around 3am but isn't sure if the phone can handle 7 hours of snapping frames.

edrex, that would be a sweet lapse! if he was to have the phone charged and the "airplane mode" on and 20sec intervals he MIGHT make it....the longest i've done without power was that truck fix and that was 40min but my batt is 3 years old now and it sucks....

What frame playback rate are you all choosing or is it fixed on the Iphone app?

Nooga678, you can change it to whatever you want. The 3GS will allow up to a pic every 3 seconds and you can slow it down to one every 24hrs. The frame rate is changeable from 1-100 fps

The android app lets you pick both things as well, however it makes you select the frame rate on the front end. It creates the movie and that is it. I wish it stored the images somewhere, or atleast allowed you to preview different playback rates before selecting one and erasing the images. That is why I asked about what rates people are choosing. I guess it varies for what you are shooting and how much change there is between photographs.

exactly, and depending on how many pics you took. The skating one i did at 5 fps because the battery died to i only had 67 pics. The other thing you can do is go through all the pics after your done and delete ones that are bad before you render it. Plus you can add music with built in sound tracks if you want. Or you can render while taking pics. But you can't go back and edit or add music if you do that. You can also change the resolution of the pics.

The iphone camera isn't good enough to get that little amount of light. You can't even take a pic of the moon.

I'm hoping the new iphone is better.
