Have a chance to get two tickets for $250 - I think they're good tickets as they were purchased by someone who will be playing.
SHould I take them?
It will cost:
~100 for hostel for 2 nights
250 for the tickets
200 for gas to get there/back
+200ish for food and drinks over new years in boston.
So a total of $650 divided by two is $375 for a 2 night trip (dec 31 to jan 2)
I've never been to boston before - have no idea what the party scene/new year's or anything is like. what's it like? Anything that i need to check out ? Should I go?

I went to the first Winter Classic (Buff vs Pitt). It was a really cool experience. We had fairly close seats which we thought would be nice. The problem was they were too close which blocked some of our views of the ice. It would have been much better to be seated higher up. Overall, it was really fun and would go again if I had the chance.

$375 is a small price to pay for a solid life experience....

| I went to the game last year at Wrigley Field and had a great time. Ended up with front row seats by home plate, which was great for the pregame festivities, but sucked for actually watching the game. It was a great time. I'm sure being in Boston over New Years and getting to see the game will be worth it too IMHO.

watching this makes me wish I would have said yes right away - really should have gone . Noted in my 2010 post to not make this mistake again.
