Last summer was my first summer getting on a wakeboard. I would ride about every weekend and I learned how to jump w2w on my heel side. I can't quite get it on my ts but I havnt really commented. I landed a hs fs 180 a few times. I started on an old hyperlite, im not sure what modle. I bought a liquid force ps3 in the middle of the year and my dad bought a byerly legacy towards the end of the year and I feel in love with it. Anyways I cant wait until next summer and I want to start attempting some simple inverts. I need to get down my 180s and possibly attempt some 360s.
what do you guys think about it? and my progression? keep in mind that i have a pretty large wake.. My boat is an old 95 mastercraft maristar and it is wrapped which looks sick. |

| my recommendation: buy "the Book" - it's got some simple drills and will take you through the progression in a logical fashion and since you're new you won't pick up any bad habits... (or you can correct anything you've picked up) it'll also help get you through the winter... and make your old man watch it too... he'll pick up some pointers as well - PS3 is pretty good board - my wife rides that model - we ride behind our bu'- no wrap, dump the wedge, fill the ballast and 65 feet is the sweet spot - can't wait till the weather breaks... good times... |

This was also my first summer boarding. I'll have to go pick up a few video's. So far I've relied on Youtube and stuff but I think the Video would be a better bet. For a first timer, I started in Mid June. We tried to do the Tantrum but I landed on my head several times. It hurt, but we got right back and tried it again. I elected to wait till next season though after trying it a LOT. |
