|
|
Hello all, I am a big time newb. I just started this summer and love it. A friend bought a boat and told me he wanted to wake board. So he went and bought some stuff. We taught ourselves how to board. He went out and bought this(2008 Hyperlite B-Side Pro 141cm). So that is what I learned on. I have no idea if this is a good board or not. My sister works for a sporting goods store and wants to get me my own board for Christmas. This is what she wants to get me. She will get it at cost. Is this a good idea or should I have her give me the cash and get something else. Keep in mind I know nothing. (CWB Adult Kink Wakeboard Package with Vapor Hinge Binding) They come in 134,140,146 cm packs.
Please help a guy out. |

The Hinge Bindings are nice and CWB makes good stuff. However, you will never really know if its a good deal or not until you get better and can decide what kind of board will be best for you.
Anything is good to learn on, especially if its free to you.
Once you get to where you can feel a difference between boards, then its time to ride everyone you can get you hands on an purchase one you like the best. _________________ Always looking for others who ride on Norris Lake in TN

| yo big time newb- free is great - I'm not overly fond of the CWB line-up but that's just a preference - been boarding for some time now and tried out a ton of packages before I settled in on a set-up... demo if you can - if not-that set-up you mentioned should serve you well I've rode it once didnn't like the bindings.. sick deal-free board, friends boat - you've got nearly the perfect set-up... |

The only thing I can add is to try on the bindings before you get 'em. I've found that CWB bindings tend to run small. At least my brothers xxl (forgot model) are very hard for me to squeeze my size 13 feet into. Snug and comfortable bindings are a must. _________________
