|
|
I rode a SlingShot for the first time last season and really liked it. Now LF is coming out with the new style of their boards. It sounds like a lot of them have some sort of flex technology. I ride a Watson now which I like but the Slingshot just landed so soft in the flats and I felt like I landed with more control.
Has anyone ridden LF's new line-up? How does it compare to SlingShot? _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

I was a die hard LF rider - went slingshot and upped my game - landing in the flats with the SS - much softer also noticed the surface tricks are easier to turn... |

I was also a diehard LF rider. I still am actually, I use their bindings still. But when I went to SS boards, I loved them so much I didn't go back. Now, I really don't know what I would do if LF dialed their flex/hybrid boards in. I might still have to support SS with the board, and LF with the bindings or something because they are both great companies. _________________ Keep Austin Weird |

I just saw the new Watson hybrid the other night and is it very thin and softer flex profile - BUT it still has all the same great bottom features of a Watson namely perfect edges imo and great double/quad concave (spine). I would love to try them all next year! _________________ 1987 Supra SunSport |

I got to ride that watson hybrid yesterday, It's amazing!!! It ollies higher than any other board i've ever ridden, and has a perfect edge feel, like wakemikey was saying. It lands soft, pops hard, and feels like it's actaully holding it's rokcerline when you press it out. It is a little softer than a typical board, but not like a slingshot _________________

dang, just checked back on this thread. Thanks for the info guys.
LakeIolaLuke, how are the landings compared to the SS? I noticed when I put down the tail on the SS, I barely even felt the flats. That and the presses are what I'm looking to improve from my 06 Watson.
Anyone else have experience with the new Hybrids? _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

the could be the ticket, the only thing that could land softer than a SS is a flex board WITH bottom shape ie spine/concave.
could be like pillows
lake i had a 08 and 09 recoil. your saying the watson hybrid is slightly stiffer than a SS? that might be perfect as i felt like i was giving up just a HAIR of pop with the SS on REALLY short cuts, like re-entry style. could be perfect(for me) if the hybrid is slightly stiffer _________________

hmm, good thoughts SS. Guess I need to demo a Watson Hybrid since I've already ridden the SS. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |
