Thank you to all of our past service men and women. No matter what rank, role, or position you held, you stood up when many did not.
You stood up for my freedoms, for my protection, and for my family.
For that, I thank you, all of our veterans. Alive, and fallen.
And to my most honored vet, my father, I am the man I am today because of him.

+1 Thank you all.
I'm going to class to honor all today. Auburn apparently doesn't wanna show respect to them. |

+1 and great thread. My best friend from law school is serving as a JAG officer in Afghanistan right now-just got over there about 3 weeks ago. Damned proud to call him my friend. _________________

Chad H, how does not going to school honor veterans? It's an honor to have a day of rememberance and I'm sure if you want to take off the day and go do something to support them like going to the nearest VA hospital and volunteering. I'm sure your teachers would not mind in the least. Why do you deserve a day off for something that someone else has done? The best way to honor the veterans an servicemen is to write something like Haugy did or send a care package. Not bitch about not getting school off. _________________ Liquid Force

Thanks to you all.
I'm thankful I still have my Granddad with me. He fought in Vietnam and in Iraq. |
