Well, I've officially completely forgotten about wakeboarding for another season.

Heading up to the mountain for opening day on Wednesday, it's been snowing lots, with more on the way.

To top it off I was browsing at some new skis this weekend and my wife says, do you want an early christmas present?....

BAM, some brand new 09 Volkl Gotamas!

Hope everyone else's hills are starting to get snow

who's getting snow?

I heard Louise sucked on Saturday. No point in going to the mountains until at least the end of December

Marmot has had 40cm in the last 5 days. They are opening 45 runs on Wednesday on a 60 to 70cm base (that's where we are going).

I'm guessing lake louise is doing their standard "look we are open" when it is actually 1 green run on fake snow with grass sticking out Rolling Eyes

Looks like sunshine is opening the 3 small hills with more than typical early season snow

I may use my rock skis, but its a great start to the season

For you lucky canadians, it looks like whistler has been getting some solid snowfall with more in the forecast. Not open yet, but looks like they are off to a good start.

I really wanna go snowboarding for the first time this winter. I have a friend in Cali, kinda close to Big Bear. I've never been to Cali, but I've heard a lot about Big Bear...would it be a good choice for the first time snowboarding?

yesterday was epic!

Snowed the entire day. shin/knee deep pow in the trees with awesome coverage over the entire mountain.

We had to push my car out of the parking lot when we left...
