So I have never boarded before and am curious, is this even a good board to purchase or no? It comes with "focus" bindings and I thought it was a pretty decent deal.

Is this a good board?
Would I have to get a better board once I got better? ( I would rather learn on an advanced board rather than move up step by step)

If its not that great of a board what would you say is? And why so?

Thanks.

its a good board. probably one of the best selling shapes of all time. how much do you weigh though? make sure you get a good size for you

And another reason wakeboarding is better than surfing, you die less, that means you have another day to wakeboard, which is more fun than surfing anyway.

I've had an '07 and now ride an '09 premier, both 141's. The premier was re-shaped in '09, it took me a bit to get used to, the molded in outer fins are a bit shorter, and I think a few other things changed, it's lighter, not sure if they changed the rocker or not.

I think it would be a great board to learn on, true beginner boards get boring fast, I think I rode my hydroslide for about a month before I bought my '07. You'll learn alot better edging technique on the premier, and it should last many years before you'll want something different. The only advice I have is to watch the edges, they are kind of slippery, and a little unforgiving.

the only advice I have is don't get the '10 model, the graphics are awful.

When you say the "edges are kind of slippery" what do you mean by that?

Whunt11, What I was saying is that it goes from a hard edge into a slide very easy, you'll really have to learn proper edging to keep it from sliding around on you. Over all though great board, should last you many years.

Medina, I'm just comparing it to other boards I've rode. My beginner board (hydroslide) had no outer fins at all, and when I took the center fins out it was like an ice skate lol. My '07 Premiers fins were a couple inches longer then my '09, making the '09 more slippery. Then compared to the Murray PIF board I rode, THAT thing was like a train, very hard to break loose.

Hmmm, i like the perfect combination of a Continious rocker, with just 4 a or p 1'' wings at the tip & tail.

Bite, and slidey.

I have an 04 and 07 premier 141. I loved the 04! I'm not a huge fan of the 07 model though. It seemed very heavy when it came jumping the wake and spinning tricks. I've been ridign my 04 for about 4 years straight now. The only reason why I stopped riding it is because I just got the new Murray! But all in all, the premier is a great board to learn how to ride on!!!
