HELLO all

I started out wakeboarding this august! im in hong kong by the way! i can do some frontside and backside boardslides, surface 360's, toeside onewake frontside 180's, ollies and working on my ollie 180's. but the biggest problem is i cant land my my w2w! my boat driver says my progressive edge is fine, but my arms wail to much when jumping. but 80% of the time i do a jump, i lift off and push with my feet, then when i land i think im landing too much on a heelside edge, so when i land i always struggle to stay up and fall on my back!( alot of spray in my crotch!) haha. so im swondering wt im doing wrong here. ive stabalized my arms, more then before but i still always land on my heel edge and fall backwards! what should i do!!!!!!!!!!! much help appreciated.

It sounds like you may be pulling the handle into your body as you jump. That will put some slack in the rope, which would make you fall when edging. So try to keep your arms from pulling on the handle while you jump.

Or, don't let your arms go straight to begin with. Keep the handle on your lead hip before you jump and then hold it there until you ride away from your landing. What kind of rope are you using? A non-stretch rope or a regular ski rope?

first of all thanks for the help. I think im using non stretch at 65 or 70 feet i think. Sometimes i think it is because when i edge in I sit back too much and when i push with my feet and im up in the air im almost already in a leaning position, so when i land i do kind of like a powerslide thingy where my back is almost touching the water. and i struggle to get back up haha. i have some pictures of my lift.

I try to keep my elbows near my core, when im doing a w2w. is that wrong? like the middle between all the way out (straight) and all the way in (handle almost touching me)

Is there anything that i need to do with my edging?

Much help appreciated!

pull your line in another 5 feet - hold your form - you're too straight up - lean back hold that edge
