I was thinking about making a filler cushion for the bow of my boat. I was wondering if anyone had attempted to do this. Also, I am trying to figure out how they hold it up. So that is what I am more looking into. Is the mounts. Anyone got pics of how the bow filler cushion is held up?

depends on if your other bow cushions have under-seat storage. If they do you can just cut a piece of marine plywood to the shape of the opening, attach some metal L brackets to the bottom of the plywood so they will rest inside the storage compartments of the other bow cushions, then upholster it... easy peasy.

My front seats do have under the seat storage. the cushions are on hinges and open from the outside toward the middle So to do that idea I would have to remove the hinges. I was hoping someone had a pic of how it is done from the factory.

Does no one have a picture of the brackets that the factory uses for the open bow filler cushion?

Mine were simply plastic bars that screwed to the inside of the walk thru on each side. The cushion just sat on the bars. It would slide back sometimes, so I added a pin on each side with a corresponding hole in the bars. The bars were 1" x 2" x 14" and were made of black plastic. _________________ Silver Skurfer |
