If you need to put 10k and a bunch of time into that thing, you may be better off buying a nicer newer boat for the same money that you will end up putting into that one. (I have no idea what kind of time and money that thing needs).

Looks pretty bad. If you are totally broke, it might be worth it, but wow, it looks like a lot of work.

he says he has all the seats in good shape. i think that if i put 3k into it, it would be nice. (i would do the work myself) im just looking for a project to do this winter. since i cant be out wakeboarding, i figure i can work on something as close to it as i can. either this or an older supra.

I suspect that you might be able to find something for $3,500 in much better condition and needing less work than this boat. If it was up to me, I'd pass and keep my eyes open. I noticed that you had run across the two '82 2001's that some other wb.com'ers have posted for sale recently in that price range. Both of those boats are probably a much less risky and/or expensive purchase than this boat.

yeah, I agree with jjaszkow, you can dump 3k into that thing and it will still be a pile that doesn't throw a good wake or you can spend that 3k on a 2001 and have a nice wake and a good first boat.
