You can just flip your canoe upside down and slide that. No need for pvc. You'll need to float it on some styrofoam or something though.

do you have a canoe? if not heres a couple of pics of the slider i just built. i think i have about $175 in it without the drums to float it. around here i can pick up metal drums for $5 apiece.

right on george, how do you plan on floating yours? is that the first one youve done? looks alot like mine, except i dont think i spent nearly as much time as you, i noticed the little triangular gussets and such. ive since put a coat of blue paint on my slider and the kicker you can see nex to it. i'll try to take some pics this weekend and post them.

Nice one! Some of these things look fully pro built. Here's some in-progress pics of mine, we're in the middle of summer here so I'm fully rushing this thing to get it on the water, still needs some sort of supports and gussets puts through it but you can get the general idea.

I noticed you guys are ending your pvc at the breakover to the slope up. if your slope pvc is a little higher it will work but only going one direction. I put my first pvc seam about 3' back on the flat portion and bent it down for the slope, so if i ollie onto it from the other direction there is no obstacle at the end. I used a heat gun and a heat lamp from a body shop to bend the pvc. something to think about.
