new BMW concept car

saw this on youtube. i would drive it, thought it was interesting..

Car will feature futuristic design in a 2+2 seating arrangement
-- diesel electric hybrid engine with high performance hybrid drivetrain

-- powered by 3-cylinder diesel engine with two electric motors

-- power output ~350hp (which together with its lightweight contruction
will be as fast as BMW's current M3 as as fuel efficient as a Prius)

-- can run on either diesel engine or electric motors alone, or a
combination

-- battery can be partially charged through regenerative braking or fully
charged via plugin to standard outlet.

This makes me proud to be a BMW enthusiast.

I saw this a while back in the magazine BMW sends out every month or so.

It sounds like BMW intends to use the drivetrain/motor technology, but if the idea is a large coupe, it'll probably get placed into something similar to a 6-series, or maybe an X6 as well.

The Audi Calamaro Concept was developed by Tibor for a design competition, organized by Porsche Hungary. The futuristic concept looks like a cross between a boat, a ski and perhaps even a stealth aircraft. According to the designer, the shape is inspired by “the bone of the cuttlefish”. Being a design of the future, we guess, the Calamaro will be powered by clean fuel options. We can’t really comprehend how this car will take off, land or even fly, simply because we can’t see any propellers, thrusters or for that matter, even exhausts. Laughing
