Any drills to get edging down switch fast? I feel so crossed up switch I HATE doing 180s. When I do a 1 I'll follow it up with an ollie 1 just to get back to goofy. I'm about to go check "the book" again but if anyone has a quick little edging drill or something of the sort? Even just riding behind the boat is uncomfortable.. do I just need to keep riding switch and get used to it?

Just keep riding and eventually you will get used to it.

That's what I thought Sad . I hate going back to the basics cause it feels like I'm not progressing but switch is definatly very important basic step I've pretty much put off until this point. I think we're going out tonight so I think I'll just ride switch all night.

The Book Vlume Two has edging and board control drills. That might help you.

Everyone has that problem. My friends and I have made it a point to have at least one set where everything is switch. Just do little stuff, almost goofing off, but you'll get it before long. Second the Book notion. All the edging drills incorporate switch riding. You may never be as comfortable, but it won't be long till you're riding off those switch landings with ease.

The 4 minute warm up drill is perfect for this situation. I started using this drill every single time I took a set and riding only 3-4 times a month I was very comfortable riding switch after a month or two.

However, to ride switch good enough to start going w2w and doing the same tricks you can do non-swtich takes riding whole sets switch. In a day where I ride 2-3+ sets I will try and do almost a whole set switch. If only 1-2 sets I will try and do at least half a set switch.

This has really helped my 180's and now I am doing w2w switch a bit better now. Still not dialed in on command but getting there.

Some of the best advice I have ever received:

"Switch riding will never become part of you riding until you make it part of your riding"

All of the switch sets and switch drills will not integrate it into your riding (the ultimate goal). Start out mixing it in. If you land switch give it a few carves before you flip back. Try just getting up switch-everytime.

The worst thing you can do about switch riding is put it into a box.

I have no problem switching to goofy foot and riding like that, I just have a heck of a time switching back. If I switch ts to hs, I can switch back on top of the wake, otherwise I am stuck. If I switch hs to ts, forget about it, I will not be able to switch back until I am ready to get back up after the wonderful faceplant.

Who said again that Cable riders where doing Raleys before they even did 1 round switch???

On this moment i am training switch aswell, and its pretty easy, actually after 1 hour of training edge control switch, you can do almost everything as normal

I can do switch krypt now... so its definetly quikly to learn!

I have the same with switch TS, its better and easier then Switch HS, strange ...
