Get a service manual for your engine, it's invaluable.

3.0, 4.3 or 5.0?

Winterizing isn't hard but its best done with a service too.

To winterise a boat all you need to do is drain the block of water and turn the engine over a couple times to shoot any remaining water out of the outdrive. the chuck a bottle of fuel stabilizer in the tank Job done.

Ideally though you will want to change oil, gear oil, impeller, fuel filter, oil filter and grease any joints, check gimble bearing etc etc. - This may be best left to your local marine mechanic.
