| ok so im not a crazy good wakeboarder or anything but i am pretty good at snowboarding so it kinda helps me with wakeboarding. I just needed some help on my backside 180. I go from the right side of the wake to the left when i do it but i cant seems to get my right arm to reach around and grab the handle. I can land it on my board, but i guess its not considered landing it if you dont have the rope in your hands. Can anyone help me out how i can really get that rope around my back from my left hand to my right to finish the trick? |

Are you going wake to wake, off the flatwater, or jumping inside-out the wake?
in any case it won't make much of a difference. Try to force the handle to the small of your back/butt and just reach your other hand there and grab the handle. It's kind of hard to say what you're talking about from your description though. Care to elaborate a little? |

the way i learned was from watching learnwake videos... get into the cuffed position and BEND over like mad. thats the key. now i feel more comfortable doing them toeside fro some reason but it doesnt really matter, what you need to do is BEND at the waist similar to the cuffed position and that more or less brings the handle to your lower back with little to no arm strength at all. i hope that helps. _________________

I have to exaggerate my edge when I'm coming down blind. I think it feels like I'm leaning more than I really am. Just remember to stick your handle on your lead hip when you're landing blind or wrapped so you can lock in your edge, otherwise, you'll immediately want to tic talk back when your tail breaks loose. It also helps me not to over rotate if I keep both hands on the handle when I land. _________________
