i tried searching everywhere and couldn't figure this one out...

what is the easiest grab to do with a heelside raley? just started throwing them since I finally grew a pair and I have them consistent so I figured i'd throw a grab of some kind.

thanks for any help!

Hoochies are easier to me but an OHH isn't too bad like I thought it was going to be with pulling down with the left arm.

With the hoochie, just start off doing raleys and gradually letting go with your left hand to pull down 100% with your right. When you want to go for the grab, just commit to bringing the board to your body to reach the grab without a problem. For a while I wouldn't commit and only get the grab half the time, but now I'm better about it.

Edging in, get in a sitting position a bit more and off the wake, keep your body relatively lower. Right off the wake, reach down for the grab and let the board fly up behind you and keep a good grip on it. Coming down is your choice if you want to hang on longer and "push" the board down or let go to bring it down.

For the OHH it's somewhat different because I have a buddy that does them straight like the hoochie, but I do them tweaked with the board more perpendicular to the water. Same idea as the hoochie though both coming in and off the wake.

Thanks man that was exactly what I needed to know! I'll probably try one tomorrow if I get out to the lake, we will see how it goes haha.
