I've been riding for about 2 years now and just can't seem to get more pop. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Here's the vid.

well although I am not super experienced from what I have read on this site and from your video it looks like you need to cut out a little farther before you jump and you need to work on using a progressive edge while you are cutting back towards the wake. Also bend your knees while you are cutting back in and then stand tall as you hit the wake. _________________

you need to cut harder at the wake. let the boat naturally start to pull you in and when it does sit back like you are sitting in a chair at aggressively cut at the wake and when you hit the wake stand tall and you will pop over it very easily. you cant p*ssyfoot it though, you have to attack the wake and then pop by standing up, dont absorb the wake with your knees either. Charge the wake and hit it! _________________ Fighting for peace is like having sex for virginity! |

x3
Get out your tweezers, dig your edge in hard at the wake, don't let off, and stand tall.
It's hard to tell what kind of wake you're working with, but trim that outdrive up to get rid of that wash. _________________

+100 to all the above. Dig your heels in real hard as you start to go up the wake. Do this by pushing your heels into the water and toward the boat until your knees are locked. So to sum up:
1. Cut
2. Dig in heels at top of wake
3. Fly
4. Repeat
Also wondering about your setup. How fast? Looks like you're hauling balls in that vid. Any ballast? Trim? Gotta do something to get the foam off the lip of the wake. _________________

| I'm riding a 07 faze with about a 50ft line. The boat is a 17ft bayliner. I'm not sure where the trim was set. |

ya first thing i thought of was this guy is going balls to the wall fast and that will ruin the size of your wake. _________________

| I agree with whats been said but you can only expect so much air from that little wake and low attachment point. I fought the same battle trying to get more air behind an outboard. Just work on the progressive edge and other basics then when you get a pull from a weighted down inboard you'll have to back it off to keep from launching into orbit! |

K-boarder, Truth.
Did that last Thursday. A sick wake sent me for a ride. I had what seemed like 10 seconds to decide how I wanted to fall. _________________

wow. lol, the video looked like you were going closer to 30 mph. Best advise you could get has already been given. Most important if you want a bigger wake put a few people in the back of that boat and trim er up about 1/4.
If you find the boat is bouncing while like that, then put all the weight up front and leave the trim up a bit. the deeper the boat is in the water the bigger that wake is gonna get. |

| Doesn't seem like you are standing tall at the wake and point of jump. The knees still look bent. |

Your wake isn't too great but just like everyone else said.. edge out harder and progressive edge is key.
That water is pretty nice for Big Bear though... especially in july. |
