I need to make my tantrums a little more floaty so i can have more time for the whirly. To me it just looks whippy, and im throwing my head/chest back right off the wake. If i be more patient, and wait a little longer to flip will it throw me up higher and get it nice and floaty w2w? Or is my cut all messed up too?

heres the link, i added some slow mo to make it easier to analyze it.

Thanks

Looks like you are letting off your edge too early, causing you to flip early and lose alot of your momentum which basically is th ereason you have to whip it around. Wait to let off the edge til closer to the wake and you'll get more pop. good luck

keep the handle in. Don't throw it out to try and spin yourself around, that's where the "whippy" stuff comes in to play. as you leave the lip your throwing your lead hand up by your head and trying rotate yourself (like a whirly). keeping the handle in tighter will allow you to pop higher, spin more on axis and keep the rotation tighter. I can see what your saying by wanting to try whirlybirds. because thats what your hands doing. once you've got tantrums down and are keeping the handle tight then you can spin an overhead pass and work a whirly in. If you watch some instructional vids you'll see that the handle never goes out of that range from waist to shoulder height. (until your doing a whirly with an overhead pass, but the motion is fast and very tight) ... Keep that handle in and good luck. Cool
