Well, I'd have to say that the X-20 is cool... With integrated ballast system and detachable tower, it's pretty cool for a PWC no?
I'll have to stick with my challenger 1800 thoe... _________________ Now even tough I know there's NO one in here that lives anywhere near Montréal, if you ever feel like riding, just pm/e-mail/msn/whatever else me |

Well, it still is a PWC no? Its propulsed by jets and theres no propeller... Doesnt that make it a PWC? _________________ Now even tough I know there's NO one in here that lives anywhere near Montréal, if you ever feel like riding, just pm/e-mail/msn/whatever else me |

My old Polaris SL1050 hauled ass. It was a 1997 (last year they used the jap imported engines). Never lost a race, topped out at 72.5 on smooth water. No stuff. Someone has put like 2-4k into their seadoo and my polaris was stock and pulled away from it. They make some good PWCs. If I ever went back to the dark side it'd be with Polaris. _________________ Got premier? |

I am currently looking for an older model PWC for our rail sessions. I live in a small bay on my lake and my neighbor is whinning about the rollers that my boat is throwing at his boat and beach so a PWC is my only option if I want to keep my sliders. _________________ B-town crew |

| pwc's are righteous if you dont have a boat, but once you ride a boat, its just goony to ride behind a pwc, for wake tricks, but jibs are cool |

| HyperliteRidr134, I have the same problem with my sliders, It deos tear up the shore if you use a boat. When I bought my PWC, I went with Yamaha. A lot of my friends had other brands, but they were always breaking. I treat my Yamaha pretty bad and it is still doing fine. |

The truth of the PWC story is that sit downs and stand-ups are in two different catagories.
1. The Stand-ups are a different species than the sit downs. Most Stand-up crews look at the sit downs the same way us wakeboarders do. When you see a group of stand-up jet skis, try to show a little respect. Riding a stand up is a sport in itself. I had one for 3 summers and was still learning new tricks. I could get about 5 feet of air and when I hit the water I could submarine it pretty good.
2. Sit downs are for goobers. You can learn every trick on 'em in one day.
Stand-ups are more like a lifestyle. Sit downs are mainly for those people who just go to the lake to hawl ass all over the lake (they have no style) |

| I'm not a big Honda fan but the new R12X is suppose to be bad. It is fourstroke so it will take less maintenace. They are so new I haven't had a chance to ride one yet and niether has the local Honda shop owner. |

| I use to work for Bombardier/Sea-Doo and they make some great PWCs. Depends on what you are looking to do with it though. If you want to go fast and race around, the XP is GREAT. For towing, I would look at the GTX (not really a wake, but will work for wakeskating). If you just want one for riding around and are on a tight budget, look into getting a used GS model. |

I never could understand the allure of a sit down jet ski. They were always very boring to me.
I used to ride a kawasaki jetski 550 (think that was what it was called). stand up. Takes balance, practice and skill. I'd still love to ride a jetski.
I'd really love to take a standup jetski behind a good wakeboard boat and have fun, but I think its illegal, even if your in cahoots with the boat. |

| The new Sea Doo GTX 4-TEC VANS Triple Crown Edition is a really nice boat for hitting sliders. It has a lot of nice features including a 155HP 4-stroke engine and a collapsible post for towing. It's the same one they use to tow the wakeskating competition on the Pro Tour. |
