I am having trouble flipping the tantrum. I have been practicing on a trampoline and while on the water i have been trying to change edges at the base of the wake but i cant seem to flip over. Any thoughts?

you have to look straigt back over your shoulders. your just squaring up and bringing your knees to your chest, with your chin pretty much on ur chest, thats not how you initiate the rotation. just concentrate on looking straight back.

I don't know why, but the first one made me laugh pretty hard. It was just a funny position to see someone fly through the air on a wakeboard in, no offense intended. You definitely have the pop you need. Following Kent's advice should probably get the job done. When you practice on the tramp, are you working on a layout, or a tuck? Because in the video, you're definitely starting out like a tuck.

from my tramp expierance, spot the landing. its all in the head, not with visualization but your head leads and the body follows. thats the only way i can describe the feeling and thats how ive seen it done on the water.

brichter14, unless you're grabbing it, you want to do full layouts without bringing your knees up on the tramp. On the water, you might have to tuck the last half of the flip, but you start it by throwing your head and shoulders back along with the added "trip" from the wake. The arch in your back will give you the up and over while your legs still get the pop. Have you watched the Tantrum video on Learnwake?

i've only stomped about a handful of these. Still trying to get the proper technique. Just by looking at your video attempts it appears your not fully committing to the rotation. Your initiating the rotation with your feet instead of with your head but its like you stop comitting once you see the sky. You really need to commit to arching your back more off the take-off. Not so much that you throw the flip out---> instead of up--^ but really look behind you hard and keep that same rotation going and tuck up your knees and spot your landing. Your approach looks good and your transfering to your toe edge at the lip for the trip flip take off. So just arch your back, throw your head back and keep your eyes on the direction of rotation,(Look for the water not the sky) bring your knees up tight until you spot your landing then let out to slow the rotation and land.

Just keep the rotation going and tuck those knees BOooeeeii! Cool

everything is good but just like everyone else said your not looking back at all.... look STRAIGHT back over your shoulders and make sure your looking straight back because it will keep you on axis

In your vids, the point where your rotation dies is the same point that your head should be looking over and at the water already. Basically lead with your head and look for the water as soon as you feel the trip. I'd also recommend letting off your edge a little earlier, it should give you a little more help getting the rotation.

Hopefully you already landed it and none of this matters.

brichter14, I'm afraid it will be rough for us this weekend too. My friend said the lake is already crowded.

We got some nice water last night. Dealt with minimal chop both mornings, but overall, it was pretty bad.
