Okay, I posted something similar in the general section but figured it'd be a bit more appropriate here. So I just got into wakeboarding like 2 weeks ago. Sucks that the end of the season is close.
Alright to the question though. I was wanting to buy a new board for next season. I was looking on spending 500-600 on the board.
As for info on me. I weigh 165, I am 19 years old. Around 6'9". I am looking to buy a board and bindings. the complete package. I'm wanting a board that will be easy to learn on, but also have plenty of room to learn. Last trip I learned to cross the wake and am learning to cross back.
Any info is appreciated! |

I'm 170lbs. and 6'3". I ride a 142 which I feel more comfortable on than other boards in the center of my size range. I think the Motive is probably a good starting point. Something in that board class would treat you well. But, there's no need to pay that much really. For your first board, I'd think more in the lower 300-500 range. Closeout boards come pretty cheap compared to current models, and you get a really good board for your money. My first board was $150 HL with bindings that I bought separately. If I had known at the time that I would really stick with it, I would have pooled some more cash and got something better, but that was my price range back in high school. _________________

nabooska, yeah, that's what I'm saying. The models that have the most change from one year to the next are usually the ones your get the best deals on. Another reason is that if the board you buy has a problem that's covered in the warranty, you get a current model board to replace it, same with bindings. Not sure about discontinued boards though. Maybe someone else knows the answer to that. _________________

yea i was hoping just to make it a little bit clearer. it can sometimes be hard to find the right binding size on closeout items, but a few mins on the web and you should find your right size. google is your best friend |

Ebay is the place, just take the time to go through every page of your search results. I picked up these bad boys(08 murray CT's) for 70 bucks shipped. _________________

ha seems like closeout is the way to go. I'll do that then, save some money and bank for another board later on down the road. Thanks for the help |
