have you guys used these ropes? why does the straightline cost more?
Which one looks like a better rope?

between those two id go with the straightline. The straightline is a wakeboard specific company and I think that airhead is a tubing company.

Id go w/ the straightline. there good ropes. Look on the www.the-house.com they got good deals

Am I the only one who noticed that these are LOW stretch lines rather than NO stretch lines? I believe the Static line is only the model name and not the actual scientific reference to static (which means "not changing").

Am I just mistaken on my knowledge of equipment, or is it not a popular belief that a low-stretch line is a waste of money when you could spend a bit more for no-stretch?

Nope. I wouldn't mess with either of those.

Don't waste your money on "low stretch" lines. Spend the extra few bucks and get a wake specific NO stretch spectra line and good quality handle.

IMO a tow rope is one of the few areas where your equipment really does make a BIG difference.
